OUR NEW PLAYGROUND

We are building this project to ensure that our children have a safe, enjoyable playground to utilize while at our parish and school. This playground will promote exercise and physical activity, improve kids learning capabilities with problem-solving challenges and foster community.

Why a New Playground?

St. Joseph Catholic Church and School's playground was moved to our current location from the old school. The equipment was outdated, unable to be repaired and no longer met safety standards. The old playground has already been removed and disposed of at no cost to us.

​The new playground will provide benefits to children, parishioners and neighborhood families for many years. Benefits include promoting exercise and physical activity, improving student's learning capabilities and fostering community. The Playground Committee has dedicated time and research into selecting the new playground equipment to ensure that it fits the needs of our church and school.

Monetary Contribution Sources:

  • Capital Campaign | $70,000

  • STEM Grant | $40,000

  • School Fundraising | $42,000

  • Spirit Fest | $2,300

Acknowledgement:

Volunteers from the school board and Building & Grounds Committee have worked hard to select and recommend an appropriate, affordable playground system that would fit the needs of students, parishioners and the surrounding neighborhood.

In-Kind Donations:

A generous donation was made to demolish and remove the old playground equipment, providing significant savings.
