Principal Nellie Goshey is a dedicated educator passionate about fostering academic excellence and nurturing young minds. With over a decade of experience in education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as principal of St. Joseph’s Catholic School.

With a master's degree in Education from The College of St. Scholastica, Miss Goshey is committed to staying at the forefront of innovative teaching practices and pedagogical methods. Her academic background, combined with her years of hands-on experience in the classroom across multiple grade levels in Hibbing, Virginia and Grand Rapids, uniquely positions her to lead our school toward success.

Throughout her career, Miss Goshey has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to student achievement and holistic development. She recently completed a certificate program for Catholic Leadership and believes in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As principal, Miss Goshey is dedicated to collaborating with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure each student receives the personalized attention and support they need to reach their full potential. With her strong leadership skills and unwavering dedication to educational excellence, Miss Goshey is poised to inspire and empower the next generation of learners.

A love of crafting, Christmas, cats, and the Catholic faith completes our fearless leader. She also loves exploring national parks and conquering her fears, which includes holding a tarantula after volunteering to hold a “mystery animal” in front of the entire school.
